Florian Franke - Assistent Emma Kirkby
Bass-baritone Florian Franke has earned an outstanding reputation as a vocal pedagogue in particular. Supported by his professor Caroline Thomas and the soprano Dame Emma Kirkby, he coaches professional singers as well as Bachelor's and Master's students majoring in singing and acts as a mentor for vocal pedagogy students during their year-long internship.
Franke is also a sought-after voice coach. Together with soprano Sibylla Rubens, he supervised the "Bach im Spiegel" project of the German Music Council's Federal Youth Choir under the direction of Professor Anne Kohler. Florian Franke already enjoys the trust of many singers and is often praised for his sensitive and holistic work.
As a singer, Franke can regularly be heard as a soloist with the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. The bass-baritone is now also in demand internationally as a concert singer and has a broad concert repertoire that includes the great sacred works of J.S. Bach as well as contemporary pieces.

After teaching alongside Emma Kirkby in Neuburg for the first time in 2023, I am particularly looking forward to being back in 2024. This time with a class that has "doubled" in size. All participants will have the opportunity to receive individual lessons from both Emma and myself. In addition, "team teaching units" with Emma and myself are planned, which proved to be extremely successful last year.
In addition to individual tuition, we also attach great importance to working together in an ensemble and on chamber music with the other instruments. Therefore, participants who enjoy trying out new things and would like to study not only arias but also duets or other ensemble pieces are particularly welcome.
The experience of interdisciplinary exchange with other singers and instrumentalists will undoubtedly make the "Neuburg Experience" something very special. We look forward to spending an inspiring time together with motivated and versatile participants.
