Jazz and Pop

Dear friends of the Neuburg Summer Academy,

the course section Jazz & Pop spans an arc from jazz to related fields such as pop, rock, funk, blues and latin. The focus here is on making music together. In addition to lessons on the respective instrument, a band program will be developed, which will be presented at the end of the week in the Neuburger Stadttheater.

In 2025, the range of “minor subjects” (e. g. groove/rhythmics, harmony teaching or jazz phrasing) will be further expanded to give participants more choice, choice of content and lecturers. We have also expanded the offer to play music in small groups or in public sessions after the course.

Our courses are aimed at all those who are passionate about music, but are not suitable for beginners.

We are looking forward to an intensive week, which should pick everyone up where they are right now and hopefully will take many steps forward.
