This course is aimed at persons interested in developing current projects in the area of film and video art or at persons seeking the final impulse for developing an idea into practise. Knowledge is not as important as delight in experimentation. Depending on group tendency or needs, we develop first drafts or we focus on required aspects. Furthermore, scenic motifs and animated sequences of all kinds are possible. Freed of dogmas, our starting basis will lie on experimenting with all possibilities concerning photography and moving-image: scenic-narrative, realistic, abstract, experimental. We deal with the language of images which includes rules and conventions of composition and theory of colours, and narrative techniques in order to achieve attention and effect. All participants need their own camera and ideally their own laptop or similar device for digital editing. Upon request, I am pleased to recommend programs (open source / commercial).
