Description

This course will explore different aspects and qualities of color in painting.  We will be using color as a foundation to construct form and space as well as to evoke emotion. This will include In addition to painting, a discussion of color and theory  (from Goethe, Itten, Albers to Diez, Küppers and Stockholder) along with excursions to the Staatsgalerie, the city and the surrounding countryside. The aim is to find, test and reinforce a personal color theory.
