Dulcian, baroque bassoon, classical bassoon
Christian Beuse has been a solo bassoonist at the „Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin“ since 1996, has worked for nearly 20 years in „Concentus musicus Wien“ and was a solo bassoonist in the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées for several years. He is also active as a guest of chamber music ensembles and orchestras in Europe, Japan and the USA. Concert tours and master classes have taken him to nearly every country in Europe, to Asia, Australia and America. In addition to regular radio and television productions, around 150 CDs with music from the middle ages to the romantic era document his broad repertoire. After lecturing at the Konservatorium in Vienna and at the universities in Trossingen, Frankfurt am Main and Berlin, Christian Beuse has led a class in historical bassoon instruments at Hochschule für Künste Bremen since 2004.
This course is aimed at students, professional musicians and advanced laypeople. The course repertoire can be freely chosen. Solo sonatas and solo concertos are very welcome. However, chamber music and the bassoon in basso continuo are at least as important - and here especially cooperation with the oboe classes (oboe band - also possible with contrabassoon). In addition to the obligatory 415 Hertz, tackling the classical repertoire with 430 Hertz is also a possibility. A further focus can be on the entire dulcian family: dulcian consort, solo works and chamber music in 440 and 466 Hertz.
