General Info

For many years, we have offered high-quality courses at low prices. For the future, you can support us while saving money yourself by booking early so that we can plan our courses even better.

If you make a firm booking by 31st May 2017 (date of postmark), you will be charged the attractive early booking prices given in the programme brochure. For bookings made between 1st June 2017 and 1st July 2017 there will be an extra processing charge of 10% of the course fee.

The closing date for bookings is Friday 1st July 2017.

The course prices do not include food and accommodation costs. You must bring your own personal working materials unless otherwise stated.

School pupils, students and persons with disabilities will be charged a reduced price if they send in proof of their status. Here, too, the early booking prices given in the programme brochure only apply to bookings made by 31st May 2017.

You can register for your desired course by telephone, in writing, by e-mail or online on our website. You will receive a prompt acknowledgement. As soon as your desired course reaches the required number of participants, you will receive confirmation of your registration from us together with your invoice. You must pay the course fee by bank transfer within two weeks of receiving the invoice.

The number of participants is limited in all courses and these limits will be strictly observed. Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received.

If you are unable to attend a course for which you have registered, you must inform the Academy in writing. Depending on when your withdrawal is received, the following cancellation charges apply:

Received by 31st May 2017

  • 35 euros cancellation charge

Received before the start of the course

  • 75 euros cancellation charge

If the course has already started, or if no written cancellation is received, the full course fee is due. If you leave a course before it ends, you are not entitled to a refund of all or part of the course fee.

If there is an insufficient number of participants, the Academy may cancel a course at any time. If the course fee has already been paid at this point, it will be refunded but no further claims can be made. The announcement of a course with a named instructor only reflects the status of planning. There is no entitlement to take part with the named instructor. The Academy reserves the right to appoint a replacement instructor if required (e.g. in case of illness).

The Academy is not liable for any accidents, thefts or damage of any kind that may occur during or outside the courses.

To ensure undisturbed work during the courses, visits by persons who are not registered with the Academy are not permitted. The equipment in the studios and music rooms is, as far as possible, lent to the participants free of charge; you are requested to handle it with care.

Further training for teachers

The Bavarian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Art has recommended that school directors officially recognise participation in the Summer Academy by art teachers as a further training measure.

Many of our course rooms are in historic buildings, so unfortunately not all studios and rehearsal rooms are suitable for persons with limited mobility. To find out if a course room is suitable for you, please contact Marina Glo├čner (telephone number 08431 55-234) before booking.

When you register as a participant for a course at the Summer Academy, you agree that images of your person can be made during events at the Neuburg Summer Academy and that such images may be used and published for the purposes of public reporting. If you are not in agreement with the production and use of such images, please send us a written objection.
